Airwars assessment
Between 11 to 15 civilians were killed, and 10 others were injured as a result of the alleged Israeli strike on the village of Hadath Baalbek in Baalbek-Hermel Governorate of Lebanon on or in the days leading up to November 26, 2024.
On November 26, the Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate General reported on its Facebook account, “The bodies of 11 martyrs recovered and 10 wounded were removed.” It is not clear whether the attack happened on that day or preceding days. The Civil Defense Directorate General listed the retrieving of the bodies and wounded civilians among the “tasks of the elements of the General Directorate of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, as a result of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.”
The Facebook account “Dia Na” wrote, “Hadath Baalbek mourn 15 martyrs.” There was no additional information on the victims. The post also specified that the “al-Mishik clan” was mourning the “martyrs”, indicating that those killed were from the al-Mishik clan.
Airwars classified the strike status as “single source claim” as only one source identified Israel as responsible, while the civilian harm status has been graded as “fair” as multiple sources reported on the civilian harm.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
