Around 9am on November 6th 2024, Israeli aircraft allegedly bombed Halima Al Sa’dia school in Jabalia camp in North Gaza that was sheltering thousands of displaced people. The bombing sparked a fire, reportedly injuring and killing dozens of people sheltering there, according to the video report by Al Jazeera. The exact number and names of the victims were not otherwise widely reported.
At 9:08 AM, a Quds Network correspondent reported that the Halima Al-Sadia School in Jabalia Al-Nazla was allegedly being attacked by the Israeli military. At 9:07 AM, the Palestinian news agency Safa reported that the strike led to casualties and injuries. This information was corroborated by Al Jazeera, Safa PS, Quds News Network, Al Araby News Network and many more news and social media sources. Al Qastalps also stated that Hebrew sources were reporting the same news.
Al Jazeera correspondent filmed an emotional video in the school yard, claiming that there are “dozens” of killed and injured victims in the school and there is no water to put on fire:
“Oh God, the fire is blazing, tens of thousands of displaced people inside Abu Hussein School, they were targeted at this moment. Oh God, someone come and put it out, bring the children out. There is no water to put out the fire. Look at the children. The fire is blazing in the school.
Targeting Abu Hussein School. A young man was injured in the head.
A real massacre is being committed by the Israeli occupation in the Abu Hussein School for Boys in Jabalia camp now, dozens of martyrs and injuries, and fire is blazing inside the shelter centre. Oh God, people are melting.”
SHFA news shared an image of people gathered around the destruction site amidst debris and rubble. Al Hawyah news channel shared an image of a young man standing next to a pile of rubble in the schoolyard.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the attack to the Israeli military.
The incident occured at approximately 9:00 am local time.
Geolocation notes
Reports of the incident mention the vicinity of the Halima al-Sadia School (مدرسة حليمة السعدية للبنات) within Jabalia al-Nazla (نزلة), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.530000, 34.476944. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
