On October 27, 2024, multiple reports indicated that Salah al-Din School, located near Palestine Stadium in west Gaza City, was bombed in an alleged Israeli airstrike, killing one person and injuring others. The school, which was serving as a shelter for displaced individuals amidst ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, was struck during the early hours of the morning. The strike resulted in casualties among civilians who had sought refuge in the facility.

While there were few specific details on the victims of the strike, sources were in agreement that civilians had been harmed and that Israel was responsible.
